You can use this page to request deletion of your EventLink account and the personal data associated with your account. You do not need to reinstall the EventLink app to make this request.
How to request account deletion
To request deletion of your EventLink account, send an email to Teal Development using the button below.
- Click the request button below, or manually email info@tealdevelopment.co.za.
- Use the subject line: EventLink Account Deletion Request.
- Include the email address used to sign in to EventLink.
- If possible, include your EventLink role, such as Visitor, Host, or Service Provider.
- Teal Development may ask for confirmation to verify that you own the account before deletion is completed.
If the button does not open your email app, send the request manually to info@tealdevelopment.co.za.
Data that will be deleted
When your account deletion request is approved and completed, Teal Development will delete or anonymise personal data associated with your EventLink account, including where applicable:
- Your EventLink user profile.
- Your account email address and login-related profile details stored by EventLink.
- Your selected role, such as Visitor, Host, or Service Provider.
- Host event listings created by your account.
- Service provider listings created by your account.
- Event applications, service requests, interest records, and similar account activity connected to your account.
- Uploaded profile, event, or service images stored by EventLink, where applicable.
Data that may be kept
Some limited information may be kept where required for legitimate business, security, legal, tax, dispute, or fraud-prevention reasons. This may include:
- Basic request records showing that an account deletion request was received and completed.
- Security logs or abuse-prevention records.
- Records required to comply with legal, accounting, tax, or regulatory obligations.
- Records related to unresolved disputes, investigations, or policy violations.
Retention period
Account deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days after Teal Development has verified the request.
Backup copies may take up to 90 days to be removed from backup systems.
Records that must be kept for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes may be retained for as long as required for those purposes, and then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Subscriptions or payments
If EventLink uses Google Play subscriptions or paid services, deleting your EventLink account may not automatically cancel your Google Play subscription. You may need to cancel any active subscription separately through your Google Play account.
